Bringing Kids for the 1st Time
At Renovation, we want children to be learning about God and His great love for them the entire time they are in our care. Our classes are age-appropriate, well staffed, high energy, and tons of fun.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Please plan to stop at our Welcome kiosk in the main lobby with your child your first time with us. It takes about 4 minutes to create a profile in our secure check-in system, and then a volunteer will be happy to give you a tour and help you find your child’s class. You will be given a sticker that will include a security code. Should we need you during the worship service that code will be displayed "Parent XYZ Needed". You will present the sticker to the classroom staff to pick-up your child after the worship service.
CAN'T I JUST TAKE MY KIDS TO THE ADULT SERVICE?
Because we recognize that everyone wins when children are learning in an age-appropriate environment and adults are able to hear the gospel with as few distractions as possible, children under the age of 6 are not allowed in our main auditorium during service.
NEED A QUIET PLACE TO FEED YOUR BABY?
We have a special room available in the preschool area for those that need to spend some time feeding their infant. There is a TV with a live feed of the service in the sanctuary so that you won't miss a beat. Please help yourself to the bottles of water and snacks provided in the room while you are using it.
WHAT IS YOUR CRYING CHILD POLICY?
If your child is crying for more than 10 minutes in a way that is concerning or upsets the rest of the class, we will come get you unless you specify otherwise.
WHAT IS THE WELL CHILD POLICY?
Children with above-normal temperature, vomiting, or diarrhea in the past 24 hours, or a cold, persistent cough, rash or any contagious disease or infection should not be brought to the children’s areas out of respect for other families. Parents must be sure that their children are free from signs of illness for 24 hours before bringing them. If a child becomes ill while in our care, the parent/guardian will be asked to pick up their child. Teachers do not administer medications.
WHO WILL BE WATCHING MY KIDS?
We only allow volunteers who enjoy working with kids and have a passion and talent in ministering to children! Anyone who has an R-Kids shirt or a Little Builders shirt has cleared our multi-step volunteer application and training process along with an extensive background check. Registered sex offenders are not permitted in or around our children's area and are not permitted to volunteer in any capacity within the children’s department.
ARE YOU PREPARED FOR MY SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD?
If you have a child with special needs, we have specially trained VIP volunteers who can assist them individually in the class that you and the volunteer determine is most appropriate for your child.
