This July 30th- August 7th we will take a mission team to Iquitos, Peru. We will work with local churches in the city of Iquitos as well as Brazilian missionaries in the outlying jungle regions.
Morada de Dios is a church in Iquitos, Peru that Pastor Jeremy Havlin’s parents help establish 30 years ago. It is a growing church with 2 locations and several other ministries across the region. They have also partnered with a Brazilian mission organization to help bring the Gospel to outlying villages and towns along the Amazon river basin.
Our team will be hosting a Worship Night and Conference for local worship leaders, musicians, and pastors. We hope to partner with local churches to provide worship ministries with practical training, Biblical discipleship, and worship culture development.
We will be doing outreach and children’s ministry programs at the church’s second campus in the Santo Thomas neighborhood area. We will also assist with the children and youth services at the main campus in Iquitos.
One of our other objectives is the help launch a discipleship program called Rooted for Morada de Dios as well as other local churches. Our hope is to take this life-transforming program to the jungle of Peru.
Peru is located on the western coast of South America. Spanish is the main language.
